β2 stars only because of their efficiency in getting out to our house quickly to help us find our problem. After that, the job lacked major communication. Our whole ordeal started 10/24/25 and did not end until 12/26/25. The guys that did the job were professional to our face, however we overheard conversations on our Ring cam and they would talk about not wanting to be there. And how they broke our clay pipe and never admitted to. They left their trash (rubber gloves, pop bottles, caution tape, and saw blades) in our front yard for 2 months. I also saw one of them throwing a pop bottle down in the hole they dug up before they covered it. They donβt clean up after themselves unless theyβre asked. We did address this with Robert (not sure his rank in the company), and he did apologize and stated this is not their standard and he would have a talk with the guys. They did end up coming out and cleaning up their mess and tried to out our flower bed blocks back the best they could. We appreciate the apology, however we will not use them again in the future unless something goes bad with their job.β β Holly Miller, ββ
βWe had a drain issue on a Saturday and water was coming in the house. Thank goodness Right Brithers has a live person answer their phone. She was very understanding and scheduled a call right away. Then Daulton called to get a better understanding of the issue and to let us know when he would arrive. Once he got here he was very knowledgeable and professional and got to work on the problem. Once the issue was resolved he gave a detailed explanation as to what he found and said there would be a follow-up on Monday. Right Brothers are very up front and clear about their pricing. I would highly recommend Right Brothers Plumbing & Drains.β β Brian Brandon, βββββ

βRyan and Atherton were awesome! The kitchen sink backed up around 6:30 the evening of 23 Dec. we had a houseful coming over for Christmas and the having no kitchen sink, disposal, or dishwasher was not part of the plan. I tried to clear it myself but no luck. Called several area plumbers and Friday was the first available for most. I finally found one that could do 12-5 on Christmas Eve and booked it. At 1:00 Christmas Eve that one called to reschedule for Friday due to an emergency job! Could not talk them into working something out. My wife told me to call Atherton because she had heard how good they were. So 1:30 Christmas Eve they booked me for a 12-4 slot! No trip charge, no premium time, just sending Ryan out. Got there around 4:00, cleaned the drain, and done. He was very personable and professional. Had a nice friendly chat and he squared us away. Price was very reasonable. Atherton will be at the top of my list next time around!β β David Hall, βββββ
β11/10 service! Ryan was great and very professional. He was knowledgeable and explained everything really well. The camera he used to show us the inside of our pipes allowed us to see everything he was doing and was just an extra layer of trust. This is the first time I have seen this and impressed me even more. This is definitely a company you can trust and the price was very reasonable. I already have another appointment scheduled which shows just how great they are. Give them a chance and you won't be disappointed.β β Johnson, βββββ

βWe had Dylan and his team out today to put in a sewer drain liner, i.e. trenchless sewer drain repair. He and his team were prompt, polite, efficient and thorough in explaining to us what they were doing and completing the job. They arranged to have the city clean their section of the sewer line that was obstructed by roots. Drain Tech removed the roots from our 95 year old, 4 inch clay sewer drain connecting to the city line then installed a Hammerhead liner and cured it. They finished ahead of the time they had told us it could possibly take. We were able to use the line as soon as they completed the job. Drain Tech saved us thousands of dollars compared to quotes we had from other companies for liners or trenches. So glad we qualified for a liner as our sidewalk, shrubs and yard did not have to be torn up. Cindy was great to work with setting up the appointments to scope the line and have this crew come out to do the work. We highly recommend this company.β β MaryLou Guizzo, βββββ
βDrain Tech is the BEST. I've used their service on several occassions and have been very pleased with the results, professionalism and the cost. I had an emergency sewer line back-up and they (Cindy) had a tech out and finished the job in less then two hours after my initial call. I can't post this without stating how pleasent it was talking with Cindy over the phone. Awesome Lady! Thanks Drain Techβ β Greg Paley, βββββ

βCalled 4 or 5 other plumbers after our main drain backed up into our lower bathroom and was a literal sh*storm. None were available for 2 days! Were finally recommended to Root Klean who came after roughly 45 minutes. Dillon was very, very helpful clearing our clogged pipes. And pricing was very reasonable! Paid about $200 for an hour of his time (RotoRooter was more than 10x this last time this happened!), and he even told us about a coupon they had online! Was very impressed. Always looking for a trustworthy plumber, and I think I'll continue calling Root Klean after this experience. Thanks again!β β Christina Miron, βββββ
βWe have used Root Klean for many years and have always been very pleased with their service. βWe are new home owners near Brookville and have never had a septic tank. We wanted to have it checked to make sure everything was okay. Mark came by today and I underestimated how far it was to the septic tank and he didn't want to tear up my yard with the truck to reach the tank to clean it out. He did check it and make sure we were fine to wait. He was professional, knowledgeable and personable. We will continue to use him in the future.β β Caroline Johnson, βββββ

βCalled this company to schedule a tank cleaning. Mr Nelson Asked how I heard of them. I told him I found receipts in the house papers from the previous owner, he was laughing the whole time and asked for the address. I told him and he said I've never been there, I told him again that I found three receipts looks like every three and a half years and he laughed again and said "You're supposed to get your tank cleaned every 2 years." And then he again said he's never been there. Okay What does that have to do with anything? I just wanted to schedule a cleaning. What the previous owner did has nothing to do with me. He went on about regular cleaning and how it should be cleaned every two years and continuously laughing the whole time, cutting me off every time I would speak. So I finally said you know what you're not professional. I change my mind. I'm going to go with someone else you have a great day. And then he just laughed and said Okay bye. Do you do that to all your new customers? Guess I should have read his reviews before calling and I would have noticed how unprofessional he is. A little friendly reminder, Treat people the way you would want to be treated.β β Jerrica Johannes, β
βThey were out about 24hrs after I initially called them. Job was properly done within 15 minutes. Showed up early to their appointment. Fast, friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. We will continue to go back to them.β β Chantell Collins, βββββ

Selecting the right septic service company is crucial for maintaining your system and protecting your investment. Here are key factors to consider when choosing a provider in Dayton, Ohio:
- Check licensing and insurance: Verify the company holds valid state and local licenses and carries liability insurance.
- Read reviews: Look for consistent positive feedback about quality of work, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Get multiple quotes: Compare prices from at least 2-3 companies. Be wary of quotes significantly lower than average.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I pump my septic tank?
Most septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size, tank capacity, and water usage. A family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank typically needs pumping every 3 years. Regular pumping prevents solids from entering the drain field and extends your system's lifespan.
How much does septic pumping cost in Dayton?
Septic pumping in Dayton, Ohio typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size (750-1,500 gallons), accessibility, and the service provider. Request quotes from multiple companies listed above for the best price.
What are signs my septic system needs repair?
Warning signs include: slow drains throughout the house, sewage odors near the tank or drain field, standing water or soggy spots in the yard, gurgling sounds in pipes, unusually lush grass over the drain field, and sewage backing up into the home. If you notice any of these, contact a professional immediately.
Do I need a permit for septic installation in Ohio?
Yes, Ohio requires permits for new septic system installations and most major repairs. Permits ensure systems meet health and environmental standards. Your septic installer will typically handle the permit process, but fees are usually $200-$1,000 depending on your location.
How long does a septic system last?
A well-maintained septic system can last 25-40 years or more. Concrete tanks last the longest (40+ years), while steel tanks may only last 15-20 years before rusting. The drain field typically lasts 20-30 years. Regular pumping, proper use, and prompt repairs are key to maximizing your system's lifespan.
What is the difference between a septic tank and sewer?
A septic system is a private, on-site wastewater treatment system owned and maintained by the homeowner. A sewer system connects your home to a municipal treatment plant that processes wastewater from the entire community. Septic systems require regular pumping (every 3-5 years), while sewer systems charge monthly fees for centralized treatment.
