What Customers Say:
βI can't speak highly enough of Lyle and Reggie. Communication was great, and they were very kind and courteous throughout the whole process. In total I ended up contacting 9 different local septic companies and it quickly became very clear that Rider Septic was the way to go. Our septic system was original to the house--about 45 years old, and the drain field was failing whenever we had rain. I also had a crack in my concrete tank that I discovered about a year ago while having the tank pumped. Lyle was the only guy to recommend a repair instead of replacing the tank to save money, and his quote to replace the drain field was a lot less than the other companies in the area. To ensure the repair to the tank was a valid solution, he even got Coweta County on the phone while he was here to quote, just to make sure they'd approve the tank repair upon final inspection. He also went ahead and installed a new lid with a riser on our concrete tank so pumping in the future will be less disruptive. Previously a mini excavator was required to dig up and remove the old lid, but now a small area can be easily hand dug the next time it needs pumping. Lyle and Reggie worked hard by starting early and working late to ensure they finished the job in two days. Our drain field was particularly tricky in that all of our utilities are buried on the same side of our home as the drain field, but they were very careful to not disrupt the power lines and hand dug where needed. Their recommended solutions have absolutely fixed our septic problems! It has not stopped raining since they replaced our drain field and we have not had any issues whatsoever.β β Jacob Garriga, βββββ
βIf youβre trying to find someone to take care of your septic needs, stop scrolling through reviews and contact Rider Septic. Lyle and his team are quick to respond, reliable, and knowledgable. Weβve never owned a septic system before, and Lyle is always extremely patient with all of my questions and takes the time to explain everything so we understand how it all works. We contacted Lyle late last night and he came to help us today with no hesitation! Last year, when the team came to empty our septic tank, they were extra careful to shovel our grass in a way that would salvage the roots, and everything was cleaned up nicely and watered down perfectly when they left. Thanks for making one aspect of home ownership a little bit easier to handle, guys.β β Toni S, βββββ

βDavid Padilla & his helper unclogged our system using old time manual labor, shovels & picks, since their heavy equipment was at another job & they didn't want us to be without use of our water system another night. They worked tirelessly until the job was done, put everything back in place, kept me informed of their progress, and were very reasonably priced. They did not disappoint! We've used Easy Clean before and we'll use them again, if we have another septic problem. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much, Ben, David & the Easy Clean team!β β Linda Moon, βββββ
βEasy Clean Septic is amazingβ¦ Benjamin Harris provides the level of customer service thatβs hard to come by these days. The quality of his work, his integrity, responsiveness and professionalism is second to none. In addition to pumping out Septic tanks, he and his team can diagnose and fix any type problem related to your system. Our home had a lift station which involves a septic holding tank and a large pump to lift everything up a large hill to the County sewer main. The whole system β¦ pump, alarm, etc literally blew up (due to being improperly installed initially), and we were at risk of a major sewage overflow into our yard and house. I called Ben and he came out immediately. Quickly analyzed what repairs were needed, priced the job out at an excellent value and completed everything within a day. We will definitely use Easy Clean Septic again. I would highly recommend him to anyone.β β Dave Dixon, βββββ

βJake does an excellent job and I never give five stars. In an unregulated industry it is hard to find honest providers and Scorpion is that: they did what they said they would for the price they quoted me on email. They did not use fear or try to upsell unnecessarily. Jake explained the pros and cons and the specific issues with my septic system and supported my strategy for periodic preventative care without recommending something unnecessary. Jake was professional, courteous, and efficient. He took the time to answer all of my questions and used diagrams on his iPad to explain (importantly, everything he said was in line with my YouTube research!). I added a reminder to my calendar for five years from now to call Scorpion and ask for Jake specifically. Thank you, Scorpion, but mostly, THANK YOU Jake!β β George Glinsky, βββββ

βI don't know if it was a personal matter or not but LEVY's customer service today was horrible. We've used Samples before and know they have good people on their teams but I DEFINITELY can't stand this guy. He basically just wanted to come in and destroy my yard all for HIS CONVENIENCE. We told him where the lid to the septic was, but he wanted to dig up the middle of our yard and cobblestone pathway anyway saying there's 3 more lids that he can work out of. Saying he's been doing this FOR YEARS and he's the professional. He was just acting all high and mighty looking down at us like we're stupid or we're the problem. Yeah well, I doubt he would have fixed up our yard and cobblestones after he was done digging and pumping! He would have probably just said I need to keep it clear like that for easy access WHEN WE'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU OF A PERFECTLY ACCESSIBLE LID WE'VE USED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE. He was just huffing and puffing every couple of seconds that we were SO CLOSE to telling him to LEAVE it and just go home but we needed the service and the Hispanic helper made it somewhat bearable. Just horrible experience with this Levy. His work was lacking as well (so much for a professional) The other team actually took their time washing off the gunk, and scraping the bottom and walls of the tank with this big scooper but this LEVY was above any of that. It was the other team that made me save Samples as one of my favorites but here comes Mr. Professional and just ruined their reputation in our eyes. We wanted to do some line work and field tests this summer but I'll definitely be looking elsewhere!β β Tayli Tellez, β
βLevi and his crew are top notch. Called Sample Septic for a drainage field replacement and replacement lid and riser, they were able to come out fast and provide an estimate for service. The price was the best of any other companies in the area. These guy went above and beyond to get my aging system back in working condition. My man driving the backhoe was surgical with thing, was able to avoid a buried power line that wasn't mark, which provided power to my shed. Glad I was able to find these guys, straight forward and honest. Price came in at the estimate price, with no up charging. Will definitely be using and recommending in the futureβ β JR Howard, βββββ

βThought our septic needing pumping due to sewer smell in bathroom in afternoon heat. Called and was quoted $149 for pumping and $49 for dispatch fee. Received multiple email and text reminders about appointments and received a call about 30 minutes before tech arrived. The tech, Josh M. Was fantastic! He made some recommendations for repairs and improvements which of course increased the price but explained what he considered critically needed vs what could be done at a later time and that we could pass on any repairs and stick with just the pumping if we wanted. He did not make us feel pressured and it seemed like he educated us on not only the system itself but typical repairs and their timeframe and costs. We chose to repair our system. Due to the high costs he did try to remove some costs he could and it did help decrease the overall cost so thats was kind of him to offer that. We paid $2,400 for pump, filter replacement (not all tanks have that), 2 risers, 3 yr supply of enzymes, and he covered up the dug up yard pretty well. I saw some reviews about how the cost went up after being quote the $200 but I think they were like our tank to where it needed some repair but the customer could decline. I dont know about other techs but ours was very laid back and didnt push to upsale. But we also realized before hand that we may have to do some repair anyway. Other customers may not and therefore the tech feels the need to plea with them to prevent future repair costs. I will be using this company again.β β SarahJo Goade, βββββ
βTechnician came out today and did a great job pumping my tank. The experience itself was not great. On their website they say 149 septic pump special with a 49 dollars fee. My tank isn't having any issue, isn't over full nor am I experiencing any issues. Yet he technician told me that my price would be 468 dollars. I would have paid that if I had known that was the price from the begging. Metro septic pumping you have to do better. He was telling me there was grease in my line, but that's not true I get my tank pumped every 3 years. Will I use them again? I'm not sure. The service wasn't bad but they ripped me off today. I wast prepared to get cheated and I'm thinking about reporting them to the BBB.β β B D, β

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I pump my septic tank?
Most septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size, tank capacity, and water usage. A family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank typically needs pumping every 3 years. Regular pumping prevents solids from entering the drain field and extends your system's lifespan.
How much does septic pumping cost in Atlanta?
Septic pumping in Atlanta, Georgia typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size (750-1,500 gallons), accessibility, and the service provider. Request quotes from multiple companies listed above for the best price.
What are signs my septic system needs repair?
Warning signs include: slow drains throughout the house, sewage odors near the tank or drain field, standing water or soggy spots in the yard, gurgling sounds in pipes, unusually lush grass over the drain field, and sewage backing up into the home. If you notice any of these, contact a professional immediately.
Do I need a permit for septic installation in Georgia?
Yes, Georgia requires permits for new septic system installations and most major repairs. Permits ensure systems meet health and environmental standards. Your septic installer will typically handle the permit process, but fees are usually $200-$1,000 depending on your location.
How long does a septic system last?
A well-maintained septic system can last 25-40 years or more. Concrete tanks last the longest (40+ years), while steel tanks may only last 15-20 years before rusting. The drain field typically lasts 20-30 years. Regular pumping, proper use, and prompt repairs are key to maximizing your system's lifespan.
What is the difference between a septic tank and sewer?
A septic system is a private, on-site wastewater treatment system owned and maintained by the homeowner. A sewer system connects your home to a municipal treatment plant that processes wastewater from the entire community. Septic systems require regular pumping (every 3-5 years), while sewer systems charge monthly fees for centralized treatment.
