βDavid Padilla & his helper unclogged our system using old time manual labor, shovels & picks, since their heavy equipment was at another job & they didn't want us to be without use of our water system another night. They worked tirelessly until the job was done, put everything back in place, kept me informed of their progress, and were very reasonably priced. They did not disappoint! We've used Easy Clean before and we'll use them again, if we have another septic problem. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much, Ben, David & the Easy Clean team!β β Linda Moon, βββββ
βEasy Clean Septic is amazingβ¦ Benjamin Harris provides the level of customer service thatβs hard to come by these days. The quality of his work, his integrity, responsiveness and professionalism is second to none. In addition to pumping out Septic tanks, he and his team can diagnose and fix any type problem related to your system. Our home had a lift station which involves a septic holding tank and a large pump to lift everything up a large hill to the County sewer main. The whole system β¦ pump, alarm, etc literally blew up (due to being improperly installed initially), and we were at risk of a major sewage overflow into our yard and house. I called Ben and he came out immediately. Quickly analyzed what repairs were needed, priced the job out at an excellent value and completed everything within a day. We will definitely use Easy Clean Septic again. I would highly recommend him to anyone.β β Dave Dixon, βββββ

βJake does an excellent job and I never give five stars. In an unregulated industry it is hard to find honest providers and Scorpion is that: they did what they said they would for the price they quoted me on email. They did not use fear or try to upsell unnecessarily. Jake explained the pros and cons and the specific issues with my septic system and supported my strategy for periodic preventative care without recommending something unnecessary. Jake was professional, courteous, and efficient. He took the time to answer all of my questions and used diagrams on his iPad to explain (importantly, everything he said was in line with my YouTube research!). I added a reminder to my calendar for five years from now to call Scorpion and ask for Jake specifically. Thank you, Scorpion, but mostly, THANK YOU Jake!β β George Glinsky, βββββ

βI chose Banks Septic after recommendations on Cherokee Connect. Jason Adams was prompt and professional and I was glad to see a military veteran being employed by a local business. βTry Southern Septic First!!!!So we had a septic backup in the house from a clog, but when they looked further the company that first came out stated that I would need a new septic drainfield and it would cost $18,000. This is after they had charged me $1800 to drain and repair the clog. So I decided to look further and try to get another estimate and a very good friend of mine who works for Ritz Carlton Residences told me about Southern septic. I thought it was gonna be just another septic company who was going to quote me a high price for something I probably donβt need. However, George the owner of the company was different. He told me he would test my drainfield first and check to see if itβs no longer useful. He said, based upon no water spouting up after poking rods into the ground In the drainfield, that he could fix it without renewing the drain field. He bypassed the area where watered pooledβ¦ And he added bioactive enzymes and bacteria to clean up the sludge. He saved me several thousand dollars in doing this process and it fixed the issue. I highly recommend this company for their honesty, Integrity, and work ethic! They followed through to the end and even put dirt down to build up a trenched area that had developed. You canβt go wrong with this company.β β heide sloan, βββββ
βThe crew came out and got right to work assessing the tank and working with what we could tell them we saw and heard in the house. They took time to explain what they found with our system and how they didnt want to perform or charge for services that we didnt need. They helped us identify where the problem was and went above and beyond to get us in a better position with this system. Guys were super polite and helpful! Have already recommended them to others!β β Melissa p, βββββ

βThought our septic needing pumping due to sewer smell in bathroom in afternoon heat. Called and was quoted $149 for pumping and $49 for dispatch fee. Received multiple email and text reminders about appointments and received a call about 30 minutes before tech arrived. The tech, Josh M. Was fantastic! He made some recommendations for repairs and improvements which of course increased the price but explained what he considered critically needed vs what could be done at a later time and that we could pass on any repairs and stick with just the pumping if we wanted. He did not make us feel pressured and it seemed like he educated us on not only the system itself but typical repairs and their timeframe and costs. We chose to repair our system. Due to the high costs he did try to remove some costs he could and it did help decrease the overall cost so thats was kind of him to offer that. We paid $2,400 for pump, filter replacement (not all tanks have that), 2 risers, 3 yr supply of enzymes, and he covered up the dug up yard pretty well. I saw some reviews about how the cost went up after being quote the $200 but I think they were like our tank to where it needed some repair but the customer could decline. I dont know about other techs but ours was very laid back and didnt push to upsale. But we also realized before hand that we may have to do some repair anyway. Other customers may not and therefore the tech feels the need to plea with them to prevent future repair costs. I will be using this company again.β β SarahJo Goade, βββββ
βTechnician came out today and did a great job pumping my tank. The experience itself was not great. On their website they say 149 septic pump special with a 49 dollars fee. My tank isn't having any issue, isn't over full nor am I experiencing any issues. Yet he technician told me that my price would be 468 dollars. I would have paid that if I had known that was the price from the begging. Metro septic pumping you have to do better. He was telling me there was grease in my line, but that's not true I get my tank pumped every 3 years. Will I use them again? I'm not sure. The service wasn't bad but they ripped me off today. I wast prepared to get cheated and I'm thinking about reporting them to the BBB.β β B D, β

βI attempted to use the drive-through at a business, but it was blocked by a Septic Blue of Marietta service truck. Assuming they were servicing that location, I went inside to place my order and learned they were actually working next door. The business owner asked them to move so they would not inconvenience customers, but Septic Blue ignored the request. I then witnessed the employees, Adam and Derek, behave unprofessionally by becoming confrontational and later posting a retaliatory review of the business where they mocked the owner despite being parked on private property, not servicing that location, and having received multiple requests to move. Based on the conduct and behavior displayed by their employees, I would not feel comfortable working with this company.β β SRP, β
βWe recently worked with Septic Blue, and while their services were satisfactory, their strict policy of only allowing homeowners to handle coordination caused unnecessary delays and frustration. As an assistant handling property matters for an investor, it was nearly impossible to get anything done without involving the homeowner for every small detail. This policy undermines the role of authorized representatives and makes the process far more difficult than it needs to be. Not only that but due to weather, but they failed to show up to our initial appointment and did not show up after being rescheduled pushing us past our deadline. Their strict policy of only working directly with the homeowner made the process unnecessarily difficult. If they had been willing to accept a letter of authorization, this delay could have been avoided. Their lack of flexibility and reliability made this a frustrating experience.β β Dayana Corrales, β

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I pump my septic tank?
Most septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size, tank capacity, and water usage. A family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank typically needs pumping every 3 years. Regular pumping prevents solids from entering the drain field and extends your system's lifespan.
How much does septic pumping cost in Sandy Springs?
Septic pumping in Sandy Springs, Georgia typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size (750-1,500 gallons), accessibility, and the service provider. Request quotes from multiple companies listed above for the best price.
What are signs my septic system needs repair?
Warning signs include: slow drains throughout the house, sewage odors near the tank or drain field, standing water or soggy spots in the yard, gurgling sounds in pipes, unusually lush grass over the drain field, and sewage backing up into the home. If you notice any of these, contact a professional immediately.
Do I need a permit for septic installation in Georgia?
Yes, Georgia requires permits for new septic system installations and most major repairs. Permits ensure systems meet health and environmental standards. Your septic installer will typically handle the permit process, but fees are usually $200-$1,000 depending on your location.
How long does a septic system last?
A well-maintained septic system can last 25-40 years or more. Concrete tanks last the longest (40+ years), while steel tanks may only last 15-20 years before rusting. The drain field typically lasts 20-30 years. Regular pumping, proper use, and prompt repairs are key to maximizing your system's lifespan.
What is the difference between a septic tank and sewer?
A septic system is a private, on-site wastewater treatment system owned and maintained by the homeowner. A sewer system connects your home to a municipal treatment plant that processes wastewater from the entire community. Septic systems require regular pumping (every 3-5 years), while sewer systems charge monthly fees for centralized treatment.
