“Just before closing on our sale we found out or drain field was at the end of it's life. Inspector recommended this company. They came out and bid $8000-$10000 so at closing we set aside one and a half times that amount because we told the buyers we would pay for it. Days later while pulling the permit with the county representative (who the county sent out some inexperienced kid with a degree) plans changed to a mound system and they re-bid at $27500! I was ticked that they underbid it in my opinion to get the job. I told Richard's not to start and needed to get other bids. He came back and tried to bill me $1000, $480 for the permit of (which I owed and paid) and an additional $520 because the county requested he take a small scoop of dirt with a small excavator (which they didn't fill and tore out underground electricity running to the shed. I ended up getting two more bids from reputable companies. One for $4000 less and one for $7300 less! Long story short, we hired the company with the lowest bid. SHOP AROUND AND DON'T GET BULLIED!”

“When we bought our home, part of the sale was that the sellers would coordinate for our septic system to be replaced and they chose Richard’s septic. They did the installation and it went well. After a few months we reached out with questions and after years of trying to contact we still have never received communication back.”

“I can recommend Richard's Sewer and Septic Service after they installed a complete septic system last fall. We started by needing a new drain field since the old one was not draining that well. Two things that we did not know was our tanks were at the end of their life and the water softener was dumping hundreds of gallons of water a day into the old drain field. The crew was able to install the new tanks, a pump tank, and the new drain field quickly. They also rerouted the water softener drain to the surrounding trees by the road, thus keeping it out of the septic system which is recommended by the Kalamazoo County Health Department. The finishing work went well as all of the sprinkler lines and underground downspouts were repaired, the work area was regraded, and topsoil was laid down. Jesse is a great guy with a lot of experience taking care of septic systems. I will use them for future needs.”

“I met the owner of this company and his wife at yogis, he hit my new car with his company vehicle and then they refused all responsibility. I have pictures and proof and I just politely asked for a statement for insurance purposes but the woman answering the phone nastily told me that they were refusing responsibility because we were on public property. Just a personal exchange but I would not do business with these people, if they can’t take accountability for their actions outside of the work environment, then I wouldn’t trust doing business with these people. I see nobody has bothered to reply in over 2 years and reviews for the business have dropped .8 stars, so this this place is declining”
