βI loved our experience with Bullards for our septic pumping! I called last night hoping for an appointment because our septic was overflowing in the back yard. They were able to fit us in today which is incredible! BJ is the one I spoke to to make an appointment. I believe he is the owner. He came highly recommended by so many neighbors! He was very clear with all of the information. He was thorough and matter of fact with everything I needed to know and be ready for. TJ & JB came out today. They called ahead when they were on their way which was nice. On time. They were quick, thorough, so friendly! Very patient with my questions and helped us understand some things as first time septic users. :) It was really the amount of people who either have personal relationships with the owner of the company but even more so the trust and outspokenness of all of our neighbors in a huge neighborhood that have used them and loved their price and quality of work. π What a great experience! Honest, great price, thorough, informative, professional!β β Monika, βββββ

βI called Alβs septic tank cleaning yesterday to inquire about having our tank cleaned, and stated this is not an emergency. They quoted $350 and said they can come out tomorrow morning at 10 AM. In the morning I received many different spam calls, and around 10:30 AM. I called Al to make sure I didnβt miss a phone call with them, and inquire about when they would be able to head out. They stated something about a tire, and told me they would call me before they head out. Six hours later I still had received no calls, so I called again and let them know that their services would no longer be needed as Iβve had no incoming contacts for them for six hours. Seeing that itβs now after 4 PM, and it gets dark by five, I doubt they were going to come out and do the service, nor did I want them coming out after dark to do the service. Furthermore, I started reviewing their other ratings, and seeing that one of the most recently had nearly an identical issue, which was six months ago., stating they were also quoted 10 AM and then weβre late, and they felt that they didnβt do a good job. I was looking at having my septic tank emptied, and possibly a new septic tank line installed, which they were going to come out and quote for. However, if this is the kind of service they provide, I not want any part of it. They were polite and friendly over the phone, and perhaps this was just a bac day. I wish them best of luck in the future.β β Randy Berg, β
βHad an emergency this morning and called Al's Septic. Super fast, here within the hour and got it taken care of for a fair price. Will recommend and use again for any septic needs! Thank you so much for coming out on such short notice!β β Heather Baker, βββββ

βOn October 28, 2025, I paid C&C - Kevin Carter 850.00 for gravel and for it to be spread. On October 30, 2025, He brought out a truck load of dirt. He said they brought him the wrong stuff and they would be back with the right stuff the gravel that I had paid for. I never heard from him, so I started calling. One excuse after the other, truck issues, money problems. I did continue to follow up. On November 25, 2025, he came out and spread half of the dirt. When I called today he stated the gravel was brought out and that was what he spread on November 25, 2025. I told him I was here and there was no gravel and half the dirt pile was gone. He got angry and started yelling at me. I told him was going to hang up and to bring the gravel. Then I texted him to do the same. He keeps saying they brought the gravel/crush and run and I got what I paid for. I called the number on the truck, his family. I spoke with Troy Carter. He stated that Kevin never paid for the load of dirt and he never brought out the crush and run. I shared this with Kevin, all in text, He said he used a different company? I asked for receipts and nothing.β β Johanna Miller, β
βHave been having problems for a couple of years, previously just had septic tank pumped out, this time he pumped out tank and suggested that we needed to have line into house checked, they found line damaged close to the house, was caused by cable tv company cutting pipe with trencher, cable installer repaired with plastic water bottle which allowed roots to enter pipe and grew to clog pipe! They replaced pipe and corrected problem! Great company to deal with!β β Michael Hay, βββββ

βThey came out told me they were coming back the next day to finish the job. I didnβt see them for two weeks every time I texted him they said they would be there that afternoon or the following morning. When they finally showed up my toilets were stopped up because they didnβt finish the work on the septic tank and I had to go a whole day with no toilets. Funny how it only took 15-20 minutes of work to finish, but I had to wait two weeks. Update for the third year in a row I had to have my septic tank serviced went with another company. This time found out this company was emptying the holding tank and not the septic tank. Donβt use them. They have no idea what theyβre doing.β β Lynda Davis, β
βEarly April CRS installed drain lines in my back yard, after driving through my front yard leaving tire marks and ruts? My back yard now looks like the surface of the moon. I have been told my my realtor Rene Sawey and "Bucky" that they would be over Saturday 14 apr 18 to fix the yard and remove an excavator, i can only assume now is abandoned property, since it's been in my back yard for three weeks now. After receiving a call from "Bucky," 15 or 16 Apr 18 i was told that he would be over this week to smooth out the yard and remove the excavator. It's now 21 Apr 18 at 16:36 my yard still looks like the surface of the moon and the excavator is still parked there.β β Jonathan Yates, β

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I pump my septic tank?
Most septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size, tank capacity, and water usage. A family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank typically needs pumping every 3 years. Regular pumping prevents solids from entering the drain field and extends your system's lifespan.
How much does septic pumping cost in Fayetteville?
Septic pumping in Fayetteville, North Carolina typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size (750-1,500 gallons), accessibility, and the service provider. Request quotes from multiple companies listed above for the best price.
What are signs my septic system needs repair?
Warning signs include: slow drains throughout the house, sewage odors near the tank or drain field, standing water or soggy spots in the yard, gurgling sounds in pipes, unusually lush grass over the drain field, and sewage backing up into the home. If you notice any of these, contact a professional immediately.
Do I need a permit for septic installation in North Carolina?
Yes, North Carolina requires permits for new septic system installations and most major repairs. Permits ensure systems meet health and environmental standards. Your septic installer will typically handle the permit process, but fees are usually $200-$1,000 depending on your location.
How long does a septic system last?
A well-maintained septic system can last 25-40 years or more. Concrete tanks last the longest (40+ years), while steel tanks may only last 15-20 years before rusting. The drain field typically lasts 20-30 years. Regular pumping, proper use, and prompt repairs are key to maximizing your system's lifespan.
What is the difference between a septic tank and sewer?
A septic system is a private, on-site wastewater treatment system owned and maintained by the homeowner. A sewer system connects your home to a municipal treatment plant that processes wastewater from the entire community. Septic systems require regular pumping (every 3-5 years), while sewer systems charge monthly fees for centralized treatment.
