“I contacted Jim’s Septic Solutions after receiving his name from Neuse Septic. My husband and I currently are selling our home and the septic inspection from the buyer came back with a potential issue. Jim immediately took my information over the phone and coordinated a time to come out to assess our septic system. The distribution box was not located by the septic inspector for the inspection so Jim immediately worked on locating it. He was able to locate the box and assess our septic system using a camera to make sure the system was working properly. He determined there was a small crack and used hydraulic cement to make a permanent fix. Jim was knowledgeable and educated me on our system and gave lots of great tips in general. He was fair, honest and a pleasure to work with. He was easy to communicate with and has a true passion for his work and ensured the system was in perfect working order while answering all of my questions. “My septic pump was not working and wastewater was up to the lid. I called Jim and he came out within an hour. He pulled the pump out and connected it to an outlet.......nothing. Instead of just assuming the pump was bad and replacing it, he took the time to trouble shoot. Jim determined that the pump was clogged and saw that the power cord was sloppily spliced with electrical tape. He cleaned the bottom of the pump and repaired the cord using heat shrink connectors and tubing. It looked so professional...and safer! He plugged in the pump and it came on. Problem solved!! A new pump was not necessary, and just like that he saved me $1600. He let me know that the tank needed to be pumped out and even put me in touch with a company to do the job. The tank was buried and had to be dug out before it could be pumped. I called 811 to locate and mark the utilities and Jim came back to dig out and expose the tank. At that time, we discussed the need and convenience of access risers, which he installed a couple days later. He even fixed a crack in my plastic pump tank lid with his heat gun and resealed some areas in the riser where the caulk was failing. All of this for a VERY fair price. I know I got an amazing deal considering everything that he did. Jim sets himself apart with his honesty, attention to detail, quality of work, fair pricing, and professionalism. I highly recommend him for all your septic tank needs.”
